About Gautam Dhameja | Work and Background

Over the last 15+ years, I’ve built software, led technology teams, and started companies. Today, I run Proferent and work mostly on applied AI and distributed systems.

I still build things myself: AI-powered search, on-device machine learning apps, and tools for running LLMs locally. I write about what I learn on the blog and make videos about AI systems on YouTube.

Before Proferent, I led solution engineering at Parity Technologies and worked on cloud and IoT at Microsoft. I co-authored Beginning Blockchain (Apress) and host Fine Tuned, a podcast about AI adoption.

Outside of work, I’m a hobbyist DJ, aspiring stand-up comic, and a serious coffee person. Originally from India, living in Berlin.
